THE MAKEUP "In old paintings the women have a rouge lip and full brows, but minimal cheeks and eyes—I did my own version of that," said McAdams. She chose a brownish red lipstick and defined the eyes with pastel shadow. "Resist the urge to use blush," she said. "A bare cheek can be key for achieving that Victorian feel."
