Turner allowed her "friends of honor" to select their own dresses for the event. The bride also comissioned Mary Thomas of M.T. Designs, an artisan on Martha's Vineyard, to create one-of-a-kind jewelry for her maids in her wedding palette. "They have pewter lockets that say "love" with the date of our wedding engraved on the back," says Turner. "The necklaces are so precious--I cried when I opened them."
