Borrowing from an age-old Irish custom, the bride also carried a horseshoe on her big day, which the couple later took home as a keepsake. "Tradition states that after your wedding, you hang it on your wall, pointing up," explains Finnigan, who personalized her horseshoe, a gift from a friend, with flowers. "It's supposed to bring your home good luck and good wishes."
