The Cascading Ponytail

"I love this look on Olivia Wilde because it's an updo that still feels full and sexy," says Charles Dujic, who created it.

STEP ONE Pull hair into a ponytail at the crown of the head. (Dujic then secured a matching hair piece, which are widely available, on top of the ponytail for extra volume.)
STEP TWO Curl random sections with a 1-1/2 inch iron. "Loosen the spirals with your fingers to keep it from looking too styled," Dujic says.
STEP THREE If you're not using a hair piece, conceal your elastic by wrapping a small section of hair around the base of your ponytail, and finish with a mist of hairspray.
