When Oscar award winning writer/director and Artists for Peace and Justice founder Paul Haggis called upon philanthropic friends like Charlize Theron, Penelope Cruz and Nicole Kidman to help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti, they didn't disappoint. After getting informed about the crisis, the power crowd got involved, contributing a total of $4.5 million dollars to support emergency and long-term aid for those most in need. "Maria [Bello] and I just got back from Haiti," said Haggis, who arrived straight from the airport to host the fundraiser at his Santa Monica home. "As soon as the quake hit, I said 'We've got to do something.'"
