After living in her Milan, Italy duplex for many years, the well-known designer decided it was time to redecorate. She chose antiques mixed in with sleek, spare pieces, and has discarded the landscape of baroque patterns and forms that was her late brother Gianni Versace's hallmark. "When I come home now, I want to feel serene. The height of luxury is to be comfortable in your own surroundings. And for that I need to see light and feel it all around me. Just because furniture is big and luxurious doesn't mean it has to look heavy."
WHY SHE LOVES IT Since brightening and streamlining the decor in her home, Versace—who doesn't design at home—says she finds it easier to relax, think and dream.
