Christopher Meloni

Six years ago Law & Order: SVU star Christopher Meloni and his wife, Sherman, bought a 5,000-square-foot cottage in Connecticut as a retreat from the city. "Serenity, beauty and freedom. It only took me 42 years to find all of these things," he says. The house is littered with relaxing warm tones, comfortable, traditional furniture and beautiful views of the lake and forest outside. "We wanted something with a country feel. But this is not a farmhouse, so we didn't want rural decor," he says.
WHY HE LOVES IT In addition to the zip line that stretches across the back lawn, the kids have playhouses and it's steps away from the lake where Meloni enjoys waterskiing. "I finally discovered a hobby sport," he says. "It's a big deal for me."
