Idol Gives Back
"I knew exactly the charity that I wanted to spotlight," said Reese Witherspoon, who spoke on behalf of the Children's Defense Fund during American Idol's Idol Gives Back extravaganza. "If we're going to eradicate poverty in this country, we need to start with children. Nothing is more important than education." The event also brought out Hollywood heavy hitters like Brad Pitt, Carrie Underwood and Miley Cyrus.
