Mahalia: "I thought he was gonna play pro ball. I didn't really see any musical talent. We bought him a set of drums, I looked up, and he had burst the inside out and made a basketball rim. Now he blames me. He says, 'See, I would've been a producer.' But I told him, 'No, your music career was over when you burst that drum.'"
