The audience did a double take when Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey came onstage in matching Vera Wang dresses in 1998. "Nice dress," Carey said. "You look pretty good, too," Houston replied. "People thought Whitney and I had some kind of beef," Carey later explained when asked about their faux catfight, meant to clear the air of rumors they were feuding.
