THE SCOOP: L.A.'s most buzzed about restaurant since, well, the adjacent Pizzeria Mozza opened in late 2006. This culinary mecca is the latest West Coast venture of chef Mario Batali, who paired with Nancy Silverton of La Brea Bakery. The urban-chic room with it's dark wood and powder-blue walls is as tantalizing as the goat cheese ravioli with five lilies and grilled whole orata wrapped in grape leaf. If you can, grab a seat at the marble-topped mozzarella bar where you can watch the considerable action on both sides of the counter.
