Cowie has called Oprah Winfrey, "without a doubt, my favorite client." It's no wonder he was chosen by Winfrey's pals to plan her spectacular 50th birthday celebration. For a "girls only" luncheon, Cowie created an English countryside-inspired fantasy setting with an "O"-shaped table surrounding trellises and two harps. Like to try a less lavish theme? Cowie suggests pairing Moroccan food with a viewing of Casablanca or using seashells to create a beachy feel.
