Makeup artist Matthew VanLeeuwen used a light touch and vintage inspiration in creating Minka Kelly's diffused smoky eye. After lightly coating the eyelids with concealer to brighten the skin, he blended suede shadow with a darker purple on the outer half of the lid to deepen and stretch the eye up and out. Silvery shadow at the inner corner of the eyes created a bright shimmer. VanLeeuwen combined plum liner and a coat of mascara for a stunning but still soft finish.
