Magenta Lips

This season magenta is a pretty alternative to red. Makeup artist tip: Put the strong hue in perspective by keeping blush and eye shadow to a minimum. "I made her skin paler to play up the contrast," says Dior makeup artist Pati Dubroff. Without cheery pink cheeks it looks sophisticated and "ideal for evening," she adds. Rachel Bilson gave the look a nod of approval in the mirror: "I love to play with new colors, and this is beautiful and fun."
