Vibrant Hair Color

GET THE LOOK: Post-summer hair maintenance isn't always a day at the beach. "To help remove damaging chlorine that tarnishes hair color, use a baking soda mask, which opens the hair cuticle and flushes out chlorine," says hair guru Naomi Knights of the Cristiano Cora Salon in N.Y.C. Wash hair, then smooth a paste of baking soda and water over wet strands. Leave in for 10 minutes, rinse and apply conditioner.
INSIDER TRICK: Save your strands next vacation! "Prevent chlorine damage by coating hair with a silicone- or oil-based spray," adds Knights. It not only hydrates you hair, but it will also create a seal to prevent chlorine absorption.
