When Naomi Watts arrived in Hollywood, she was cast as a less famous member of the Aussie Posse, overshadowed by best friend Nicole Kidman, now ex-boyfriend Heath Ledger and superstar Russell Crowe. Her role in Mulholland Drive in 2001 and an Academy Award nomination in 2003 for 21 Grams changed all of that. As her career evolved, so did her look. "Naomi has gotten more polished," says makeup artist Pati Dubroff. "Her piercing blue eyes are so beautiful, we usually draw attention to them. Velvety red lips look incredible, too." Watts is also adventurous with her hair. "We've styled her every which way—bangs, no bangs, slicked back, sexy waves," says hairstylist Jamal Hammadi. Whatever the do, she always looks like a leading lady.
