CARE TO DANCE? January 19-29, 2006. The "indie" film elite bombarded poor little Park City, Utah, this week for Robert Redford's annual film festival. Leaving their couture at home, stars disguised themselves in designer winter wear to brave the paparazzi and the cold in order to celebrate the other side of Hollywood.
A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL The festival generally creates buzz (and a distribution deal) for the most warmly received films screened, and this year there were a slew of favorites, including
Little Miss Sunshine, starring Toni Collette, Greg Kinnear and
The Office's Steve Carell, whose première was so overcrowded that people were turned away at the door. Other hot tickets were Jennifer Aniston's
Friends With Money, which opened the festival, and the thriller
Lucky Number Slevin, starring Lucy Liu, Josh Hartnett and Bruce Willis. Other notable but totally unrelated star sightings were Paris Hilton and Jack and Kelly Osbourne.
