GOULISH GOOD TIME Monday, October 31, 2005. Though A-listers fêted the dress-up holiday in L.A. and Vegas, New York was the place to be. Heidi Klum hosted her annual bash at Happy Valley nightclub; Justin Timberlake threw a dance party at Marquee; and Bette Midler raised more than $2.2 million for the New York Restoration projectand celebrated her birthdayat her yearly Hulaween benefit at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel.
STAR COSTUMES Proving she loves the vamp look, Klum once again transformed herself into a drop-dead demon, while husband Seal played protector in a policeman's getup. Timberlake and Cameron Diaz did black-tie masquerade in a tux and gown. And mingling at Midler's (she was a flower), Martha Stewart donned leopard print.
HAWAIIAN HALLOWEEN Guests at Midler's benefit relaxed among the Hawaiian-themed décor while Elton John performed. And rather than tricks, partygoers received their treat at the end of the night when John brought Midler up to perform a duet.
