GET WET Sunday, August 28, 2005. The water-themed MTV Video Music Awards, held in Miami, attracted rock and rap superstars, who arrived in restored cars and decked-out yachts for their chance to score a coveted Moon Man.
CHARITABLE FASHION This year’s ceremony was decidedly glamorous, thanks in part to host Diddy’s “style challenge”—a contest awarding $50,000 each to the best-dressed female and male star’s charities of choice. Gwen Stefani—in body-hugging leopard print—and a white suit-clad Snoop Dogg won the dough, but the stylish Kirsten Dunst, Nick Lachey, Alicia Keys, Orlando Bloom, Ashlee Simpson, Usher and a host of others gave them a run for their money.
ROCK ‘N’ ROLL ALL NIGHT A few scattered showers didn’t dampen the spirits of stars who partied at various venues all weekend long.
