ALL THERE IN BLACK AND WHITE Las Vegas is usually associated with sin, but on March 28, L.A. took that title as horrifying criminals, crooked cops, sexy sirens and the actors who play them descended on Mann's National Theatre to fête the première of Sin City.
SHOWING THEIR TRUE COLORS Though the epic was shot almost completely devoid of color, stars were dressed in a rainbow of shades. Alexis Bledel wore a Chang Reyes frock that matched her baby blues, Brittany Murphy bubbled in a pink vintage Jean Patou, and Jessica Alba wore a frothy fuchsia Marc Jacobs—quite a ladylike change from her outrageous Sin ensemble. Other colorful characters on the carpet included the film's stars Clive Owen, Elijah Wood, Benicio Del Toro, Bruce Willis, Carla Gugino and guests Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, Kristin Davis and Jason Lewis.
THE STORY PLAYED OUT The after-party, held at the Gallery on Lindbrook, displayed the same stark, graphic representations of the namesake comic book.
