Ciara's Changing Looks
The Riverdale High School senior played up her natural beauty with soft curls.
The singer dropped her debut album, Goodies, and hit the World Music Awards. "This look is simple and youthful," says her makeup artist Yolanda Frederick. "Ciara's very comfortable in her own skin and actually prefers to wear as little makeup as possible."
Bronze hair and bronzed skin at a pre-BET Awards soiree. "The sheer, radiant finish to the foundation creates a sun-kissed look," says Frederick.
"The lashes bring sparkle to this look, making her eyes jump off the page," says Frederick of Ciara's TRL makeup.
Ciara went the elegant route in matching gloss and gown. "A red lip always makes a statement," says Frederick.
"This is one of my favorite looks," Frederick says of Ciara's retro-inspired makeup. "The warm, dewy skin keeps her red lips from making the look too serious." The playful pompadour doesn't hurt, either.
A strict center part and low chignon for a gala event. "The winged black eyeliner completes that mod feel," Fredericks says.
Ciara released Fantasy Ride and chopped off her locks in favor of a piecey, asymmetrical pixie.
Back to long waves at the MTV Video Music Awards. "I love the matte nude lip with the chocolate-colored Givenchy gown," says Frederick.
Ciara summerized her mane with golden highlights.
Ciara kicked off Grammys weekend with a hairstyle update, lightening her black-to-brown ombre strands to a brighter, sunnier shade. "I just wanted to have fun," the singer told us. "I'm a tomboy at heart and I just felt like attitude, like not caring a little bit, to be honest."
Hello, gorgeous! The singer debuts blonde hair.
Ciara returns to her brunette roots, opting for a dark hairstyle that complements her plum lip.
