It’s been three weeks since ABC shocked Bachelor Nation, announcing that Arie Luyendyk Jr. will be the next Bachelor over frontrunner and fan favorite Peter Kraus. And if we’re being completely honest, we’re still not over it.
Turns out, neither is self-proclaimed Bachelor superfan Mila Kunis.
“I’m so bummed it’s not Peter,” she told InStyle this week at the launch party for Jim Beam Vanilla in N.Y.C. “I really wanted it to be him, so now I don’t know how to feel about Arie. I started watching The Bachelor with Chris Soules’s season, so I never saw him on Emily’s season.”
It makes sense that Kunis was pulling for Kraus, after all she made a cameo with husband Ashton Kutcher on Kraus’s season with Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay. “Ashton and I loved Rachel so much that we literally called the show to tell them and they were like, ‘Come on an episode tomorrow,’” says Kunis. “Rachel was always our favorite because she was such a catch and so put together.”
So what did Kunis think of Lindsay’s final choice, Bryan Abasolo? “You know, if she's happy then I'm happy for her,” she says. “Clearly they must have had a connection. I just hope he's not full of it. And as long as he's nice to her, who cares? I hope they love each other and have fun.”
Kunis also says she’s not the only A-lister who has become obsessed with the dating reality show over the years. “There's a whole secret society in Hollywood that watches The Bachelor,” she says. “I can't talk about it, though. It's like Fight Club.”
She can share what a typical Bachelor Monday is like is the Kutcher-Kunis house, though. “There's a whole process,” she says. “We sit down, we order our food, we make a drink. For some reason, our go-to Bachelor food is either takeout Chinese or takeout Indian. It’s our sh-tty food night because it feels like we're eating dirty food while watching dirty TV. And then we make our bourbon cocktail. It’s the same every Monday night. And sometimes Monday and Tuesday when it’s on twice a week.”

Kunis’s bourbon of choice is, of course, Jim Beam, as she’s been a spokesperson for the brand since 2014. “I was always into clear spirits until five years ago, when Ashton ordered me a Penicillin, with scotch, and an Old Fashioned, with bourbon,” she says. “At first I was like, ‘What’s in this?’ and then I was like ‘Woah, this is really good.’ Now, I’m the pusher. I go out and tell people, ‘Don’t order the vodka or tequila. Tequila makes your clothes come off. Order the bourbon, you’ll stay sane.’”
To help launch the brand’s new vanilla flavor, Kunis spent some time behind the bar too. “My favorite cocktail mix is one part Jim Beam Vanilla, one part soda, and two parts grapefruit juice,” she says. “It’s a really nice, refreshing blend.”
And if you’re worried about a hangover? “I’ve learned to drink water after every cocktail,” she says. “I think your body digests the alcohol a little better. I’m also a big advocate of eating while drinking. And not just a salad. Have a good meal. My family is Russian and they were always big advocates of bread and butter before you start the night. It just soaks everything up.”
