When it comes to vocalizing her political opinions, California-bred Emily Ratajkowski hasn’t strayed far from her liberal roots. And with an Instagram following of nearly 11 million, her voice has quite the reach.
Since her 2013 debut in Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” music video, the model and actress hasn’t wasted a moment’s time hiding behind neutrality. From her forward-thinking campaigns to her statement-making tweets, EmRata has proven that she’s unafraid of sparking controversy. Her prerogative is simple: speak your mind.
The same, of course, applies to Ratajkowski’s political moves. Not only has the 25-year-old boldly and explicitly made her ideas known, she’s also acted on them.
Ratajkowski protested President Trump’s immigration ban at LAX, participating in the Women’s March, and even spoke at a Bernie Sanders rally—all of which she shared with her Instagram followers.
Here’s to the fearless EmRata and the many times she stood up for what she believed in.

2. Redefining Feminism
EmRata retweeted this image of a bottle with a label reading: "Emily Ratajkowski at 25: Old enough to redefine feminism, not old enough to be president." We take it the actress is eager to abolish the minimum age clause for presidential nominees. Is it too early to stump for EmRata 2026?
3. Feelin' the Bern
Ratajkowski left no room for ambiguity when she endorsed early presidential nominee Bernie Sanders. Not only did she wear her loyalty across her chest, she also stumped for the politician at a New Hampshire rally.
4. Politics in Action
“I think if you are a public figure, you have a responsibility to say something for a cause you truly believe in and help it on its course," Ratajkowski told The New York Times. "It’s incredibly frustrating that society somehow feels that women can’t manage to be political, feminist and a sex symbol.”
5. The Picture of Democracy
Ratajkowski proudly took part in the Women's March on Jan. 21, 2017." This is what democracy looks like. #mybodymychoice #womensmarch," she captioned her photo of the scene from the Los Angeles March.
6. Advocating for the Arts
"Hitting The Hill advocating for the public funding of arts today," EmRata captioned this photo of herself making her mark on Washington.
