If there were a Ph.D. in athleisure studies, Swank would graduate in record time. She’s the creator and founder of Mission Statement, a line of fashion-forward, high-performance clothes. She and her team used a type of stretch jersey that “feels light yet provides compression and alignment for your muscles,” she says. Incorporating cashmere and washable leather, the pieces can take you from the gym to happy hour. “Exercising for me isn’t about looking a certain way,” she says. “My mood, stress level, and skin are better for it.”

Scroll down for the four style and wellness rules Swank always abides by.
1. DRESS THE PART
2. MIND THE SUN
3. MIX IT UP
Swank exercises the same way she eats: seasonally. “I like to go skiing in the winter, swimming in the summer, and hiking in the fall,” she says. “I’m a huge nature lover, so anytime I can be outdoors, I prefer it.”
4. HAVE A TIME-OUT
Swank takes a full-body approach to self-care: She sees aesthetician Christine Chin for facials and makes time for regular massages. “It’s important for stress relief,” she says. “They’re my biggest splurge besides a trainer.”
