The forward-thinking Miuccia Prada has called it again! One year after the legendary designer made waves for kicky showgirl feathers in her Spring 2017 collection (and, the following season, for Fall 2017), the rest of Italian fashion is following suit.

So far, new riffs on this trend have been of the rare bird variety: Think Big Bird tufts on a yellow silk blouse (as seen at No.21) or an ankle length dress completely covered in wispy pastel quills (Vivetta). And while Brunello Cucinelli and Attico opted for quieter colors, like brown and cream, the fluffy plumage still made a splashy statement.
