Makeup from Sketch to Show
1. Bobbi Brown for Erin Fetherston
Brown paired a crimson red lip with a soft slate eye and left the rest of the face very clean at Erin Fetherston.
2. James Kaliardos for Luca Luca
Kaliardos used MAC Currant lip pencil and Crimson Lip Mix to create a "timeless and classic" look, he says. Eyes were covered in Soba eye shadow, a heavy sand shade.
3. Tina Turnbow for Lela Rose
Beauty.com's Turnbow gave models a rich emerald cat eye at Lela Rose by using Stila's Paint Pot in Jade. Lips and cheeks were subtle and sweet in girlie pink shades.
4. Diane Kendal for Thakoon
Makeup artist Diane Kendal used NARS products to achieve a subtle smoky eye at Thakoon. "The look is all about the eyes with soft matte lips for contrast," says Kendal. She used NARS Rain for lips, toned down with neutral concealer on top.
5. James Kaliardos for Rodarte
To achieve a look reminiscent of stone or sculpture, Kaliardos used brown hues from MAC, including Scene (beige) on the eyes and a mix of black, brown and ivory paint sticks on the lips.
6. Gordon Espinet for Behnaz Sarafpour
Espinet emphasized the eyes with black MAC eye shadow and eye kohl on the top and bottom lashlines, while leaving the rest of the face neutral.
7. Diane Kendal for Herve Leger
Kendal used the concept of a brave warrior for this strong brow, dewy skin look. She applied NARS Sheer Glow Foundation (new for Fall 2009) to even out models' skin tone and filled brows in with NARS eye shadow in Bali.
8. Vincent Longo for Vena Cava
Models at Vena Cava wore brilliant orange eyeliner, which Beauty.com makeup artist Vincent Longo paired with a subtle peach lip gloss.
9. Bobbi Brown for Rachel Roy
For an ultra-feminine look at Rachel Roy, Bobbi Brown emphasized the lips with a blackberry shade and kept the eyes neutral and glossy.
10. Charlotte Tilbury for Matthew Williamson
Tilbury layered three MAC shadows to create an oval shape around the eyes. She drew a precise line around the lips and finished with a creamy dusty rose lipstick.
11. Diane Kendal for Carolina Herrera
To emphasize the models' natural beauty, Kendal used a pretty pink blush on the apples of the cheeks and MAC Twig lipstick topped with gloss.
